Currently meeting one afternoon a week at the Ditchingham Village Hall.
The club originated some years ago with several activities but these have now dwindled down to a very relaxed two hours of keen but gentle exercise in the above village hall. Anybody who has played tennis, squash or badminton is welcome, balls and raquets are provided.
Tennis shoes or similar soled footwear necessary. |

The Club controls many waters including some fantastic river stretches and large still waters as well as the club pit and Earsham lay by pit, our latest water. Large carp, big bream or a beautiful bag of river roach, there is something for every one so why not join us. Night fishing is also available to full club members on our Ditchingham club pit.

There are 12 miles of fantastic river fishing from Earsham upstream at Waveney Farm, down to three Rivers and Dyke at Geldeston and on to Dunburgh and for still water fishing there is the picturesque 3-acre lake at Ditchingham with four Disabled platforms and easy parking plus the common pond and the surrounding two miles of the beautiful River Waveney. Bungay
Town Football Club, known as the Black Dogs, was formed in 1925.
There are three Saturday adult teams. In the summer of 2004 Bungay
Town merged with Ditchingham Rovers F.C. so there are now also
two senior Sunday teams (playing as Ditchingham and Bungay Rovers)
In
2003 a merger with local junior club, Bungay Rangers F.C., meant
that there are also twelve junior boys' teams, from age 7 upwards,
and two junior girls' teams (under 12s and Under 14s).
There
is a newly formed Women's adult team for 2004 - 2005
BTFC
is delighted to have been awarded the prestigious FA Community
Club Status by the Football Association Being one only around
100 football clubs in the country to have this quality kitemark,
which shows that we provide a high quality standard of coaching.
The home ground is the Maltings Meadow in Ditchingham, (just outside
Bungay) which is about to undergo major refurbishment. Take a

As
part of the Bungay & District Sports Association Bungay Town Cricket
Club is aiming to provide better facilities, coaching and playing
experience for all our members. The home ground is at Maltings
Meadow Bungay
finally reached their goal this season and acheived promotion
to division 1 of the Norfolk Cricket League.
We
have once again enjoyed increasing support for our Junior teams
in the club. With the close season now apon us, please check here
for news of when training will begin for the Under 13's, Under
11's and Kwick Cricket Sides (ages 6-10). Bungay
CC welcomes both boys and girls to training sessions and have
qualified coaches to help create better players for the future. |

Waveney Valley Canoe Club has a long history and continues to
enjoy unprecedented growth, which means that we are now probably
one of the biggest clubs in the region.
We
call ourselves ‘The ‘Friendly Family club’ as
our members are of all ages and we have several families where
Mum, Dad and all the kids are involved. Our home is at The Bungay
Staithe on the lovely River Waveney and we are fortunate to have
some excellent safe canoeing right on our doorstep. |

Godric Cycling Club has a club room at the Sports Hall and organise
club runs, time trials, grass track racing, May Day Round The
Town Races and a Cyclathon annually. The Godric
Way is a network of cycle routes in and around Bungay.

Black Dog Running Club meets for weekly training sessions at the
sports hall and use the High School track during the summer months.
track events are held in the summer as well as a regular programme
of cross country and road races throughout the year. The main
race of the year is the St Peter's Race or 'Great East Run' A
marathon

This
bowling green at Honeypot Meadow is the home of Bungay Bowls Club
and is full sized. It was established in 1920 and is complimented
by an excellent club house. The Club was formed in 1898 and is
the only outdoor sporting club to be based within the town itself.
There
is ample provision for car parking next to the Green and a Pavilion
for changing and enjoying refreshments. |

Caldecott
Hall is a popular venue with a range of good facilities which offer
a pleasant day out to members and visitors.As well as the 18 hole
golf course, there's an interesting par three course which demands
the use of a range of clubs.
The clubhouse is converted 18th century Grade II listed barn
and has adjoining changing rooms with oak lockers. The Barn Works
Fitness Spa will also be opening in the early summer 2004
